Fundraising: Beacon Dash
The Beacon Academy PTO organizes all fundraising for our school and has stopped using fundraisers that make a small percentage based on a product sale. Instead, the PTO sponsors one annual event that has become a highlight for our entire community, the Beacon Dash! Each year, students get monetary pledges/donations to contribute to this school-wide effort, culminating with the highly-anticipated Beacon Dash. All the money goes directly to the PTO to help the school with needs such as assembly speakers, books for the Spanish library, rhythm instruments for music class, or playground equipment. The 2018 Beacon Dash is taking place in the Spring and is an annual, community-building tradition!
2018 Beacon Dash fundraising dates: Friday, May 18 – Thursday, May 31
2018 Beacon Dash Day: Friday, June 1
This year, you have three ways to donate:
(1) Give your cash or check donation to a Beacon student. Your donation will be counted as part of that student’s classroom contribution for classroom, grade-level, and school-wide incentives.
(2) Mail your cash or check donation to us at Beacon Academy, 3415 Louisiana Ave N, Crystal, MN 55427. If you include a note with your student’s name and grade level, your donation will be counted part of that student’s classroom contribution for classroom, grade-level, and school-wide incentives.
(3) Use our secure, online payment method for your credit or debit card donation. On the checkout page, be sure to include your student’s name and grade level in the “additional notes” section, and then your donation will be counted as part of that student’s classroom contribution for classroom, grade-level, and school-wide incentives.
Thank you for supporting Beacon Academy and Beacon PTO!
Donations are tax deductible and can be made any time of the year!
If you wish to contribute financially to Beacon Academy, kindly mail your check to

Did you know that our school generates hundreds of dollars a year through indirect fundraising opportunities? All you have to do is participate! In most cases, these are goods and services you are already using. A few extra seconds to link them to our school makes a huge difference for our students. Beacon Academy indirect fundraising opportunities include:
Box Tops for education. When you use products that have the pink 'box tops' label, simply remove the label, save it, and drop off your collection in the office.
Make your Amazon purchases through Amazon Smile to have a portion of the purchase price come back to the school. Sign up at smile.amazon.com and chose Beacon Academy (Maple Grove, MN) as the charity.
Download the free app Shoparoo (available for Android and iPhone). Shoparoo turns images of your receipts into cash for Beacon Academy! It's quick and convenient; all you have to do is snap a picture of your receipts. Receipts from stores that sell grocery items are turned into cash for the school, and receipts from other types of stores are entered into a monthly sweepstakes to win $1000, and a yearly sweepstakes to win $15,000. Download the app, select Beacon Academy, and you are ready to go. You can submit receipts anonymously or be listed on the leader board.
My Coke Rewards: save your caps and tear off the codes from all participating Coke products and turn them into the school. The school can redeem the points for items in their catalog.
